One Year

One year ago today I crossed the finish line of my first race.  My most memorable race.  The race that meant the most to me.  The race I had the most investment in.  The race that I worked SO HARD for, physically, mentally & financially.  This race will always be a highlight in my life.

I re-read my race recap post this morning and it brought back all the feelings and emotions I felt that day.  Then I watched the live footage of the half-marathon finish line and cried as I watched so many people with orange race singlets come across with such joy showing on their faces; the memory of the moment flooded back to me.

I will always be so thankful for that day.  The day that allowed me to reach deep in to myself and connect with Tami & Matt on a more spiritual level; from my soul.  I love them.  I love all of the members of my family.  I am so grateful for their support, not only on this day, but for every day of my life.

I know it has been over 5 months since my race, but I still think about it almost every day.  It is still so fresh in my memory and brings me to tears when I think about all my emotions and feelings during the race and the moment when I crossed the finish line.  I can picture it so vividly - like I am reliving it again.
